The sign is still hanging by a crane as the bolts are being drilled into the wall (see February 29, 2024). Another meeting of the Adam Alonzo Fan Club (see October 20, 2022). Remember when people used to work in offices? It`s all ready for me to stack my dishes by the sink. It`s been a long time since I used one of these, but I don`t think this is right.

I like this photo better than March 28, 2019. Ryu Kyung Kim rehearses with the Bach Society of Dayton. Composer Morgan Moss reacts as her new choral work is sung for the first time. David Crean conducts the Bach Society of Dayton. Latif Bolat sings Turkish songs.

March 3, 2024
Drone shot? No, just me leaning over the balcony. Dr. Kim`s voice fills the sanctuary (see March 2 above). A team of UD students plays the Javanese gamelan. Music is a universal language, and I heard music in nine different languages during this Bach Society concert. Latif Bolat asked the audience not to applaud so they could just quietly experience the moment.

March 4, 2024
I appreciate people who pay attention to details (see March 1 above). My first daffodil of the season. It was a busy day at the river. The long walk home. There`s been more banging lately (see February 29, 2024).

March 5, 2024
I`m walking to work today. This doesn`t look promising. I`m walking because my car spent the day here (see February 27, 2024). Those people in their fully-functioning cars don`t get to experience nature like I do. I tried to take a picture of sound: rain tapping on this plastic-covered wall like a percussionist. Farewell Uno`s Pizza. I will not miss your kitchen odors and dishroom noise in the radio studio.

March 6, 2024
Your favorite radio station. My second daffodil of the year (see March 4 above) may have bloomed too early. Winter has made a comeback. I am as happy to see the ice skating rink disappear as I am to see spring flowers appear (see March 9, 2023). And speaking of spring flowers. In case you were wondering whatever happened to the interstellar object `Oumuamua.

March 7, 2024
After weeks of strong winds, this is all that`s left (see January 16, 2024). Welcome. I criticize bad drivers all the time, so I should commend the driver of the blue car for being patient. Looks like a party at Est! Est!! Est!!! I encountered, and hopefully encouraged, another photographer on the street while walking home today.

March 8, 2024
My car has been in the shop, but I got it back today and drove to a park to avoid another day of city pictures. Sleeping with one eye open. A wise photographer once said: Shoot flowers from flower height. Oh wait, that was me. I like the song that cardinals sing to welcome spring. I had more bird pictures, but you get flowers instead.

March 9, 2024
Anyone can spin a flag. Not everyone can perform. My camera is drawn to performers (see April 1, 2023). After many years, color guard can still make me gasp. They work very hard while I sit comfortably in my seat. I sit near the judges, so they smile in my direction. Best color guard photograph ever?

March 10, 2024
I sprang forward AND came to work on Sunday morning. The Guitar Man, Jim McCutcheon, is a Dayton favorite. Have you made a donation yet? Why not? I just point my camera at the people with talent. Still waiting for your donation: (937) 222-9377.

March 11, 2024
During pledge drive, questionable choices are made. How many hours of sleep I need. I hope my car isn`t in the garage when it collapses. It`s okay: you`re supposed to sit inside this sculpture. Call and make a donation at [93]7-222-93[77]. And yes, I went home from work at 7:20pm.

Kiss me, Miami, thou most constant one! I love thee more for that thou changest not. My soul doth rise as rise thy waves, as each on each the dark shore laves. Didst thou tell to fish and frog and bird the raptured scenes that there occurred? Tell not to every passing idler here all those sweet tales that reached thine ear. But, O dear stream, what volumes thou couldst tell to all who know thy language as I do. PAUL LAURENCE DUNBAR

March 13, 2024
Pledge drive menu, continued. St. Patrick`s Day begins early in my neighborhood. Three monoliths suddenly appeared on the sidewalk. Why the stone face? Spring is quietly happening, but I`m too busy to notice.

March 14, 2024
Pledge drive lunch was also dinner. There`ll be no more sobbin` when he starts throbbin` his old sweet song. HARRY WOODS Good boy. He`s been in STAY mode for years. A sweetgum constellation. Gonna fly now. Flying high now. AYN ROBBINS AND CAROL CONNORS

March 15, 2024
It`s nesting time in downtown Dayton. On the final day of pledge drive, we`ll take anything. The new normal on weekends in the Oregon District. If you mail me a postcard, I probably won`t vote for you. On the final day of pledge drive, lunch was at 7pm.

March 16, 2024
Spring soccer season is underway. Technically, it`s still winter -- and it felt like it. There were a lot of people from Findlay in the stands. I was going to photograph nature today. But nature will still be out there later.

March 17, 2024
Celebrating Irish culture. Looking good in green all year long. St. Paddy Wagon. I wasn`t surprised to see this (see March 17, 2021). Enough foolishness in green. Here`s a squirrel.

March 18, 2024
The view from an urban canyon. The Dayton Arcade is still a construction zone for now. Every trash can is a bird feeder. The driver who tried to kill me today (note the crosswalk sign). You kids put yer shirts on! It ain`t that warm.

March 19, 2024
People calling to tell me who to vote for. Am I stoopid? I can make Ohio disappear by breathing on it. Thanks to my poll worker Stella who started at 5:30am. Ah, the freedom of working outdoors! Groovy, man!

March 20, 2024
I love a springtime walk. Why the riverfront smells like mud. I hope some art major got paid for painting these (see February 16, 2024). There`s new grass under there (see February 16, 2024). This little light is costing me money (see March 5 above and February 27, 2024).

March 21, 2024
The house is being powerwashed. Time to get outta here. I went to church this morning. This being Thursday, I had to ring the bell. I parked in a properly ordained space. Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21, but we celebrate his birthday on March 31. It`s a long story. Pulling out all the stops for Bach`s birthday.

March 22, 2024
The house was washed yesterday (see March 21 above) and it does look pretty nice. I even think it smells better. I debated whether to walk or drive to work this morning. As soon as I started driving, it began to rain. Good call! Which is more appealing: food or enlightenment? Preparing for another summer of wildfire smoke. It`s impossible for me to overcook my dinner.

March 23, 2024
It looked like spring, but it felt like winter. Same shop window, different dog (see September 5, 2012). I had to wait until the wind stopped blowing. The Oregon District rocks! People sleep better if they turn off the lights and get away from screens for a while before going to bed.

March 24, 2024
I saw a giant shadow on the ground and looked up. Snowdrops in the sun. They didn`t melt. Flower faceplant. Some birds are very difficult to photograph. Some birds are easy to photograph.

March 25, 2024
Dirty, noisy, aggressive. What`s not to love? Don`t leave on my account. Don`t worry about the kayaker drowning in the distance. What`s so fine as being a boy? PAUL LAURENCE DUNBAR (see July 20, 2005) Do we have time for one more bird photo?

March 26, 2024
The Schuster Center: a highlight of downtown Dayton. I couldn`t wait around to see how those building materials were going to get through that window. Everyone knows it`s windy. It`s not that hard. You just stop fighting. My breakfast is also taken raw (see March 22 above).

March 27, 2024
It was another wintry spring day. At this point, it looks like plastic will outlive humans. They`re temporary, so I take a lot of photos of daffodils. Gulls aren`t temporary. I take too many photos of them. We all have a need to express ourselves.

March 28, 2024
Today I visited a new park -- and an entirely new park system. You`ll see more from Bellbrook-Sugarcreek. Nobody home. What did I say yesterday about daffodils? There`s a gigantic house in the background, but you can`t see it cuz I got skills. Birds tolerate my presence if there`s food nearby.

March 29, 2024
Welcome to the Oregon District. Good Friday has always troubled me, even as a child. And I`ve never lost the sorrow, planted by Matthew, and read to me in the clipped, tight speech of my New England Great-Aunt Deborah. From `The Winter of Our Discontent` by JOHN STEINBECK Man vs. machine. Inside the Arcade, while I`m outside (with a big lens). Did you get my wire?

March 30, 2024
It was a busy day and so I started taking pictures late, but the timing was perfect for this early evening photo. Climb ev`ry mountain. It`s probably time to go back inside. The Oregon District is full of interesting characters. In this neighborhood, you need a special permit to fix up your house.

March 31, 2024
I was enjoying a quiet morning in the park until a very important man arrived and carried on a very important phone call in a loud and very important voice. I took many shots of these flowers. I hope this is the best. More of those yellow flowers (see March 28 above). The water is calm and so is my spirit. It would be great to be a bird, except for eating larvae.
