I`m proud of my friend the entrepreneur (see November 8, 2020). Arrive early. Sit in the front row. Take good pictures. (see December 7, 2023) With a ribbon cutting in the morning and fashion show in the evening, I couldn`t go to Dia de los Muertos in the afternoon, but this kind of made up for it. She was previously seen (with less makeup) on July 13, 2025. When some of the models saw my camera, they lit up.

November 2, 2025
Technology advances, but I still have to change my clocks every six months. It gets dark early, making it harder to take good photos. Another seasonal observance that means nothing to me. I eat more nuts than I used to (see June 16, 2025). This was a very fast picture-taking trip through the neighborhood.

November 3, 2025
That looks like sunlight, but it`s fake. I spend a lot of time crawling around on the ground. Goodbye formalwear store, hello coffee shop. Look up and remember your insignificance. This has been on the porch a few days. Should I eat it?

November 4, 2025
Orville Wright has lots of pennies. Paul Laurence Dunbar has just a few pennies. Seasons come and go. The Archers don`t go anywhere. The cemetery needs a strong gate because people are just dying to get in. Still wondering about this duck (see November 7, 2023).

November 5, 2025
I helped prepare for the Dayton Book Fair, but I`ve got enough so I didn`t buy any (see November 6, 2024). There were lots and preachers and popes at my table. Somebody swiped the Sharpie at the volunteer check-in table, so I did the best I could with a pencil. There was a pond nearby, and the killdeers were freaking out over this buzzard. This was taken safely through my living room window.

November 6, 2025
I was surprised to find flowers at the point in the season, and even more surprised to see bees on the flowers. At my age, I feel a kinship with November butterflies. I was about a mile away, but I had the big lens today. This picture violates many of the principles that I teach in my photography workshops. Robins were already swarming around these berries.

November 7, 2025
A musician I know is also a talented artist. The customer service staff is ready to serve you. No thanks, I`ve already painted once this year (see October 23, 2025). Eye see you. I`ve been here before (see March 24, 2023).

November 8, 2025
Late bloomer. As I took this picture, I was surrounded by participants in my photography class. It was a pretty morning at Aullwood Garden. I brought the wrong lens for this shot, but I made it work. I`m inside the Aull home (see September 27, 2009).

November 9, 2025
The annual meeting of the Tall Girls Club (see November 7, 2024; November 11, 2023; November 12, 2022; November 13, 2021; November 9, 2019; November 10, 2018; November 11, 2017; November 12, 2016; November 14, 2015; November 8, 2014; and November 9, 2013). The price of admission has gone up, so each of these photos costs $3.40. But I didn`t have to pay to park this year. It was cold and raining, so the parking lot attendants just waved me in. I shot only three sets, but I kept changing my angle. The final score looks lopsided, but it was a close game.

And thus begins the long, dark night of the soul. Same tree, same leaves, just colder (see November 2 above). Taken through my window with the furnace running. How many days until spring? I went back on the radio today after four weeks off the air. What does this button do?

November 11, 2025
I work at a classical music public radio station in Dayton, Ohio, called WDPR. The station went on the air for the first time on today`s date in 1985. Tonight we had a 40th birthday party. Lots and lots and lots of people came to celebrate. I photographed the cake, but didn`t get to eat any of it.

Frigid fisherman. The large waves are from the flowing of the river. The tiny ripples are from the bitter wind. Just look around and you`ll be reminded of the endless cycle of life and death. Words without the leaves would be less interesting. The person who almost ran me over in a crosswalk tonight (see November 22, 2023). Sorry it`s blurry. I`ll try to do better next time someone tries to kill me.

`Footloose the Musical` is based on the 1984 hit film. The show is on stage at Springboro Community Theatre. I had the opportunity to photograph final dress rehearsal. It`s a good show and adds depth to the familiar story. The cast is talented and everyone`s having lots of fun.

Leaf pickup day was supposed to be Monday, but it snowed (see November 10 above). What the world needs now. Inspiring, though probably illegal, messages about peace and equality. Artwork in the trash (see November 16 below). I walked to work because the weather was warm, but I kinda forgot that it would be pitch dark on the way home.

November 15, 2025
I went out at the crack of midmorning for a photography activity organized by The Contemporary Dayton. We took pictures inside the gallery for a while. Then we went out to the bustling metropolis. There`s a harmonica in there somewhere. Faces of downtown Dayton. My fellow photographers chatted (left) as I indulged my narcissism.

November 16, 2025
Dance as if no one is taking your picture. Autumn in the city. The red shoe was built to last (see October 7, 2025), but it didn`t survive the Oregon District Halloween party. Artwork in the trash (see November 14 above). I`m nuts about squirrels.

November 17, 2025
Everything below the knee is tinted orange. My skinny self. Duck duo. Time for a new sign, perhaps? I work inside and still complain about the cold.

November 18, 2025
When it rains all day, you get a photo of raspberry tea (see October 24, 2021). I`ve banged and dropped this glass and it hasn`t broken. A stack of memory cards by my computer indicate a lack of discipline on my part. Simple pleasures. Talking about music is like dancing about architecture.

November 19, 2025
It`s beginning to look a lot like Thanksgiving. The outside of my building is being power washed. I just need somebody to clean my office. My tax dollars at work, apparently. He`s got a long, long way to go. How them guys got up there (see November 17 above). A giant crane is clogging downtown (see May 7, 2025).

November 20, 2025
Two vaccinations: mild pain. Two vaccinations: no pain. Terry Welker`s Fractal Rain constantly pours inside the Dayton Metro Library downtown. At the library is an exhibition for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The red shoes were painted by local women who are survivors of domestic violence.

November 21, 2025
They packed up the Winnebago and left for the winter. We both have veins. Looking for lunch. My skin in winter. There wasn`t much happening out there on the prairie, but I was still glad to be there.

November 22, 2025
I need to rake my car. People helping people. The Red Shoes exhibition is open (see November 20 above). The mayor of Dayton provided a proclamation. And music was performed by cellist Tara Mar.

November 23, 2025
The concert starts at 3. I got there at 11. I had no trouble parking and didn`t have to wait in line. I had my choice of where to sit. Because I have a photographic memory, this instantly reminded me of January 25, 2017. This is Anita Graef rehearsing for an outstanding recital she performed later in the day.

November 24, 2025
`Hey, when are you guys going to lunch? GUYS?` Father Christmas. After losing its emergency injunction, Thanksgiving has now been totally subsumed by Christmas (see November 14, 2022). Rise above it all. Another visit with Anita Graef (see November 23 above), and my third consecutive day of photographing a cellist.

November 25, 2025
Tomorrow I`ll try to get a handle on my desk. When my camera stays in the bag until the evening, then nothing good happens. My car does not do well in cold and wet conditions. Here`s what I see at a red light. A neighbor`s decorated yard in my car mirror.

November 26, 2025
The chaos on my desk is spread out a bit more. The Leaf Warrior. Not many people dumb enough to go to the river today. Ohio was cold and windy. I`ll pretend that I like autumn leaves.

November 27, 2025
A preview of who won`t shovel snow off their sidewalk. For those in need. Uh, no -- sorry, can`t help you. Every fair from fair sometime declines. WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE Still pretending I like autumn leaves.

November 28, 2025
Friday feast. That post-Thanksgiving feeling. Countless photos have been taken with this background. The point of the game is to knock the car down. Thankful for good music.

November 29, 2025
Other people maintain and decorate the streetlamps in my neighborhood, then I come along and take pictures. Planetary alignment. Small Business Saturday was extremely quiet. Pizza makes things better. Still pretending I like autumn leaves.

November 30, 2025
Taken from inside my car with the heat running. A man of few words. It was a monochromatic kind of day. Did I mention I`m working on a new Dunbar project? A boy`s best friend is his dog.
